Here's a flying challenge that I'm trying to do.
Circumnavigate the globe in a simulator airplane
Do it on a straight line all the way around over the widest circumference (Great Circle) that runs through my home coordinates.
And keep on a line that is always 45* (true north basis) from the starting point until I get half way around and then I'd keep on the same line but the bearing from the starting point would always be 225* (reciprocal of 45*).
How do you do it?
Just set the autopilot on 45* and sit back and let her fly? Would that work?
Something to think about and a fun challenge to see if you can actually do it on the simulator. I'd be happy to hear what ideas others might have and/or how they did in trying this flight out.
